The Vespertine Circus aims to inspire – to rekindle an old magic nearly forgotten, to draw audiences into a curious and unlikely world, full of humor and wonder. The Vespertine Circus performs across the continental United States! The Vespertine Circus, based out of Oakland, CA, is a small collection of young, ambitious oddballs on a quest to spread joy and absurdity. Their troupe is inspired by both the iconic and small, traveling, family-circuses that first swept across America around the late 1800s; and the theatrical, dance-infused, animal-free, indoor contemporary circus movement. They weave circus arts into the context of narrative theater, with characters you can relate to and stories that focus on personal-growth and human relationships.

The Vespertine Circus provides a number of performers and imaginative acts to contribute to any event. Look to Vespertine for a MC/ringmaster, clowns, contortion, hula-hoop acts, living statues, mermaids, roue cyr (wheel acrobatics), roaming characters & puppetry, tarot fortune telling, tightrope walking and unicycle acts. Their fire acts include fire dancing (solo or duet), poi, fire fans, double staves, fire hoop & fire eating. Their juggling acts (solo or duet) come with balls or clubs. Vespertine Circus also provides skilled aerial acrobats who can perform with aerial silks, aerial slings, the static trapeze, corde lisse, aerial lyra/hoop, and aerial frames.
