The Sonando Project

Stirring up a stimulating mix of Afro-Cuban folklore, Brazilian Jazz, R&B and rumba, the world-class musicians of The Sonando Project compose outstanding originals and use their amazing improvisational skills to make you hear familiar songs in a new way (most notably with their intriguing interpretations of Stevie Wonder's well-known songbook.) The Sonando Project--comprised of saxophonist & flutist Darren Smith, pianist Bob Crawford, bassist Sam Bevan, drummer David M. Flores and percussionist Patricio Angulo--has performed at an array of vaunted venues, including Yoshi's, Jazz at Pearl's, The San Jose Jazz Festival, The North Beach Jazz Festival, The Jazz School, Jupiter, The Ramp, Rassela's Jazz Club, Top of the Mark (Mark Hopkins Intercontinental Hotel), and the 850 Montgomery (Cigar Bar) in San Francisco.
