The Serpent Sanctum weaves together sacred serpent dance with belly dance, contact improv and temple dance to create a modern incarnation of an ancient art form. These talented women use their skills as trained dancers to shimmy, sway, and strut with their snakes to display sacred sensuality. They use archetypal imagery, costumes and music to create an exotic environment, remeniscent of an ancient time long ago that celebrates the serpent’s powerful symbolism of transformation, fertility, sensuality and mystery.
