The James Zeller Trio

The James Zeller Trio is a Jazz and genre-crossing trio based in Northern, CA. Zeller performed professionally in NYC for 17 years, and lead a highly successful trio that was the house trio at the famous Manhattan's upper east side "Bar Pleiades."

While the concept of the group is the same, the trio has some new members. James Zeller handles lead vocals with a unique, heartfelt style, plays tasteful trombone solos and rhythm guitar. Multi-instrumentalist Daniel Nickerson plays guitar, Lee Phillips is on upright bass and the trio is often joined by musical friends on many other instruments. Nickerson and Zeller also both play piano and perform often as a very versatile and entertaining duo.

Their fantastic repertoire is a unique and entertaining mix of swinging Jazz and timeless American Songbook classics from the 1920's-50's, New Orleans and Trad Jazz, classic country, blues, and folk. Their music is the perfect addition for community events, festivals, concerts, clubs, restaurants, weddings, cocktail parties, business parties and anything with the word "party" in it! Every performance is filled with songs audiences know and love!
