Art Deco and His Society Orchestra

Art Deco And His Society Orchestra is celebrating thirty-three years in Los Angeles. The orchestra’s crooner and creator is the Heifetz-trained violinist Vincent Houser.

The orchestra is known throughout the country for the music of the golden era of American popular song-the twenties, thirties, and forties. Attired in white tie and tails the orchestra creates an atmosphere of elegance and sophistication with the music of American composers such as Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, and Irving Berlin.  

They also specialize in music of the swing era such as Glen Miller, Benny Goodman, and Duke Ellington. Their repertoire also includes Latin and rock music. Over the years the orchestra has become quite well known in Hollywood circles playing for numerous Emmy and Oscar parties.  

They have performed for Presidents Reagan, Clinton, and Bush, as well as Queen Elizabeth II. Art Deco has performed for many debutante balls in the Los Angeles area including Las Madrinas and The Valley Hunt Club. They have appeared on television, in movies and at numerous celebrity weddings.  

The orchestra has also performed at the Hollywood Bowl, Ford Theatre, the Walt Disney Concert Hall and for the Tournament of Roses, Los Angeles Philharmonic and Los Angeles Opera. They have played at fundraisers for the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Music Center, and the Huntington Museum and Botanical Gardens in San Marino. Art Deco has traveled extensively throughout the United States as well as Europe.
