Laurel Van Den Cline

Laurel was first drawn to yoga in 2002 while in college in Santa Barbara. After years of struggle with her weight and improper diet, she fell in love with health and wellness and ended up graduating from UCSB with a minor in Exercise and Sport Science. Though a NASM certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor, Laurel felt she was getting too much of the physical aspect of life and not enough HEART connection until she began to formally study Yoga.

Laurel continued to study the body in preparation for Physical Therapy school and worked to rehab post-operative patients at an outpatient Physical Therapy Institute, but found her perfect blend of passions, Yoga Therapy, at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.

Laurel incorporates her knowledge of biomechanics, anatomy, and yogic philosophy to create a fun yet challenging experience that everyone can enjoy. For corporate events Laurel focuses on creating movements to help combat the most common physical issues to relieve low back pain and free physical restrictions.

Laurel writes for the National Academy of Sports Medicine and continues to contribute to her field. As a Lululemon Ambassador and Aveda Partner, you can find Laurel in her community and globally promoting wellness. “By connecting us to our bodies and silencing our minds, yoga allows the true inner self to surface. Connections with others and ourselves can become more profound and authentic because we start to live fearlessly with an Uninhibited Heart. She likes to create a space to facilitate awareness in others and make it accessible for all.
