Andrew Sharp, otherwise known as “The Prince of Pain,” is a sideshow stuntman and escape artist who has been performing daring feats of endurance and physical control since childhood. Professionally trained as an actor and a magician, Andrew’s path was clear by the age of 11, when he started performing magic shows at children’s birthday parties. An interest in the legacy of Harry Houdini led him to leave the world of magic at age 15 to become one of the nation’s youngest stunt performers, wowing audiences with breathtaking feats, including having concrete bricks smashed on his chest while lying on a bed of nails, walking barefoot across broken glass, and escaping from a tightly-bound regulation straight jacket. Thirteen years, hundreds of shows and one theater degree later, he continues his quest to present visceral, edifying, and intelligent stunt entertainment that challenges the limitations of body and spirit.
