Lilia Valerie is a violinist with a new and distinctive view on the capabilities of her instrument. Professionally trained in classical music, Lilia decided not to follow a conventional path and expand her musical vision by combining both classical and modern genres. Not only does she perform, but also produces and records her own original compositions. Her repertoire includes a fusion of rock, pop, classical and dance music.
Lilia showed interest in music at a very young age due to her family’s diverse musical talents, but it wasn’t until the age of four when her mother took her to a concert, where she first heard a violin and instantly fell in love with the sound.
Modern music always intrigued Lilia, she always wondered how different styles of music would sound on the violin, so she started improvising.
Lilia graduated from the prestigious Moscow State Conservatory and The Juilliard School. During her study she won several international violin competitions. She was a member of the violin ensemble “New Names” with whom she toured Germany, including performances in the Palais Schaumburg of Bonn. She has played in concert halls, like Bolshoi and Rachmaninoff Hall of Moscow Conservatory, Tchaikovsky Hall, Alice Tully Hall and others. As a soloist performer she has performed in Mexico, Hong Kong, Lithuania, Russia and The U.S.
She can perform as a solo electric violinist—roaming, on stage, or atop a sway pole!—and can also be paired with a DJ.
Lilia plans to keep producing and arranging music that eventually will lead to a full album. She looks forward to future performances and traveling the world with her music.
