Laura Gilmore

Laura is one of the best caricature artists in the Bay Area! Her drawings capture the essence of her subjects using not only single line sketches, but added shadowing. Since early childhood Laura has drawn real people and made-up characters, the places they live and the things they enjoy. As a concept and product illustrator, this passion lets her create renderings that combine technical accuracy with emotional appeal.

To date, she has sketched over 17,000 people. She is proficient in quick brush and Sumi ink caricature portraits, focusing on likeness and personality. She is also well versed in portraiture using watercolor and oil paints.
