Jay Leno, an American stand-up comedian and television host, began his career in night clubs, where he worked before hitting it big in 1992 with his own late-night talk show, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. By that time he had appeared on television, and acted in a few films (American Hot Wax in 1978). From 1992 to 2009, Leno was the host of NBC's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Beginning in September 2009, Leno started a prime-time talk show, titled The Jay Leno Show, after The Jay Leno Show was cancelled in January 2010, Leno returned to host The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on March 1, 2010.
