Jamie Davis

Having traveled the world as a headliner and lead vocalist for the Count Basie Orchestra, Jamie's deep, distinctive voice has earned him a place in the pantheon of great vocalists, alongside some of the famous talent with whom he's shared a the stage: Tony Bennett, Patty Austin, George Benson, and Rosemary Clooney. His 2007 performance with the BBC's sixty-four-piece orchestra inspired Sir Michael Parkinson to dub Davis the "chocolate baritone." His recent performances include appearances at the Cheltenham Festival, the Jerry Lewis Telethon in Las Vegas, and tours at home and abroad. In December 2007, Davis' critically acclaimed CD, It's A Good Thing, which features members of the Count Basie Orchestra and some of the finest instrumentalists in L.A., was named album of the week on digital radio station thejazz.com.
