Court Jones works as a freelance commercial illustrator and caricature entertainer in San Diego, California. He has done a lot of published illustration and concept work for film and TV projects, editorial and product illustration for clients such as Atlantic Records, Upper Deck, Rolling Stone Magazine, Wired Magazine, The Washington Post, The San Diego Union-Tribune, San Diego Uptown News and Blizzard Entertainment, among others.
He earned his BA in Studio Art from the University of California, San Diego, and continued his formal art training at the Watts Atelier of the Arts in Encinitas, California. He has taught many workshops in illustration, caricature and painting across the country and internationally in Japan, South Korea and India. But began teaching regular courses in caricature, anatomy, illustration and portrait painting at the Watts Atelier in 2003. He has won several awards for his work from the San Diego Portrait Society, the International Society of Caricature Artists (ISCA) and National Caricaturist Network (NCN), including the top award of Caricaturist of the Year, at the annual NCN convention in 2005. More recently, at the 2011 annual convention of the International Society of Caricature Artists he won the higest honors in the master's division when we was named Master Caricaturist of the Year.
