Beth Waters

Waters is an amazing singer, extremely talented pianist, and shockingly strong lyricist. Although she has often been compared to Tori Amos, Sarah McLachlan, and Dido, Waters deserves more than to be clumped together with a bunch of other singers who only have their gender in common. Beth Waters's songs are deeply personal and often tinged with a hint of sadness. The most compelling part, however, is her voice. Unlike the more well known singers listed above, Waters doesn't fill every song with demonstrations of her vocal range — she enhances her passion with a mellow subtlety.
