Hokuna'au'ao

Hokuna'au'ao (Hoku) dances with the critically-acclaimed Halau Hula Na Lei Hulu I Ka Wekiu, under the direction of Kumu Hula, Patrick Makuakane, from whom she received formal training as 'Olapa Hula. Hoku's experience in hula and other ethnic dance forms have taken her on tours to Japan, Taiwan, Hawai'i, New York and Los Angeles. 

Working with Bay Area talent agencies, Hoku has provided professional entertainment and creative services for private and corporate functions, children's parties, schools and events for nearly twenty years. 

She is also a published author/illustrator of an award-winning picture book who infuses visual art with Hawaiian storytelling.
